Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 10, 2026

1. Introduction

QuickVendors ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over your data when you use the QuickVendors platform ("Platform").

This policy applies to all users of the Platform, including vendors who create storefronts and customers who place orders through those storefronts. By using the Platform, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

Identity and Contact Data

Full name, email address, and phone number — collected from vendors at registration and from customers at the time of placing an order.

Order Data

Details of orders placed through the Platform, including products ordered, quantities, prices, order status, and transaction references.

Payment Data

Transaction identifiers and payment status information returned by Paystack. We do not store card numbers, mobile money credentials, or other sensitive payment instrument details — these are handled exclusively by Paystack.

Usage and Analytics Data

Aggregate data about how users interact with the Platform, including pages visited, features used, session duration, and device or browser type. This data is collected in aggregate and is not used to identify individual users.

Vendor Payout Data

Mobile money account number and network provider, collected from vendors for the purpose of processing settlements.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the personal data we collect for the following purposes:

  • Order fulfillment: To process orders, communicate order status, and facilitate payment and settlement between customers and vendors.
  • Communication: To send transactional notifications such as order confirmations, payment receipts, and payout notifications. We may also send operational updates about the Platform.
  • Platform improvement: To analyse usage patterns and improve the features, performance, and user experience of the Platform.
  • Legal and compliance: To comply with applicable laws, resolve disputes, and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Security: To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We may share your data only in the following circumstances:

With Vendors

When a customer places an order, we share the customer's name, phone number, and order details with the relevant vendor. This is necessary for the vendor to fulfill the order. Vendors are independently responsible for how they handle customer data they receive through the Platform.

With Paystack

We use Paystack to process all payments on the Platform. Paystack may collect and process personal data in accordance with their own Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review Paystack's policy to understand how your payment data is handled.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose personal data where required to do so by law, court order, or at the request of a competent regulatory or law enforcement authority.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law.

Order data (including customer details, transaction records, and payment history) is retained for a minimum of 7 years following the transaction date, in compliance with legal and accounting obligations.

Vendor account data is retained for as long as the vendor maintains an active account. If a vendor closes their account, we will retain the minimum data necessary to comply with legal obligations and to resolve any outstanding matters.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

  • Access: You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: You have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Deletion: You have the right to request that we delete your personal data, subject to our legal obligations to retain certain records (see Section 5).
  • Objection: You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.

To exercise any of these rights, please visit our Contact page. We will respond to all valid requests within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Cookies

The Platform uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the service. For detailed information about the cookies we use and how to manage them, please see our Cookie Policy.
